Travellers Palm Tree

Originating from Madagascar, it is not a true palm but has a palm like trunk and banana like leaves. It is a member of the Bird of Paradise family and has very distinct fan leaves. This tree can grow to 30-40ft high and likes full sun or partial shade. Water well until established. The reason it is called the Travellers Palm is that travellers know it holds water in its large folded leaves.
